Lindsay Betts

Honorary Treasurer
Licentiate Member of the Faculty of Occupational Hygiene (LFOH)

I am an Occupational Hygiene and Health Lead with over 10 years’ experience, having started in consultancy before moving into a major project role at Hinkley Point C.

I currently lead occupational hygiene and health risk management for BYLOR, on the construction of the UK’s first new nuclear power station in over 20 years, supporting a workforce of around 5,600 people in a complex, high hazard environment.

I hold the BOHS Certificate of Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene and jointly won the Ted King Award in 2024. I am a Board Member and Honorary Treasurer of the BOHS, contributing to governance and strategic direction, with responsibility for financial oversight and chairing the Finance and Commercial Planning Sub Committee.

I am particularly focused on strengthening the role of occupational hygiene in major projects and supporting the continued development and practical influence of the profession.
