Retired Membership
We have been providing membership to occupational hygiene professionals for over 50 years and in that period have watched many members progress within the occupational hygiene profession and reach the pinnacle of their career. To show our appreciation for the contribution made to worker health protection, we have created retired membership for members to help them continue to keep in touch with the industry post-retirement and continue supporting the Society. It is only open to previous members. If you wish to change your membership to retired please contact the Membership Team at membership@bohs.org

International Partner Membership
If you are a member of a national occupational hygiene society or association that is part of the IOHA network, then we invite you to join our International Partner scheme to supplement your current membership.
By extending your membership, you will become part of our dynamic community of occupational hygiene professionals, collaborating and exchanging ideas in the interest of achieving a healthy working environment for everyone.

FOH Associate
This is the first step for those wishing to gain professional recognition as an Occupational Hygienist.
It demonstrates you have relevant skills and knowledge, you are committed towards CPD, the BOHS Code of Ethics and your development, and ensures you remain relevant and employable.
As an Associate member, you’ll be able to use the AFOH post-nominals and access all the membership benefits and resources.

FOH Licentiate
This grade of membership is open to those who hold the Certificate of Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene or the international version of the qualification. It demonstrates you have relevant skills and knowledge, you are committed towards CPD, our Code of Ethics, and your development, and ensures you remain relevant and employable.
As a Licentiate member you’ll be able to use the LFOH post-nominals and access all the membership benefits and resources.

Chartered Member
Chartered status is internationally recognised and signifies a high level of professional competence and experience, a commitment to continued professional development (CPD) and the BOHS Code of Ethics while remaining relevant and employable. BOHS is the only organisation globally that can offer you Chartered membership as an Occupational Hygienist.

FAAM Technician

FAAM Associate
