Professional Qualifications
For those wishing to develop a higher level of knowledge in a specific field, such as asbestos, LEV or legionella, the Certificate of Competence (CoC) in an individual subject is an ideal and highly recognised qualification.
Certification as an Occupational Hygienist, leading to Licentiate membership, can be achieved by attaining the Certificate of Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene (CertOH). An International version is available for those Hygienists practising outside of the UK – the OHTA International Certificate in Occupational Hygiene (ICertOH).
The highest professional occupational hygiene qualification awarded in the UK, is the Diploma of Professional Competence in Occupational Hygiene (DipOH). This is a highly prestigious qualification which enables the holder to become a Chartered Member of the Faculty of Occupational Hygiene. It is an Internationally recognised and highly respected membership within the field of occupational hygiene, only available through BOHS.
