Diploma of Professional Competence in Occupational Hygiene (DipOH)
Award of the Diploma qualifies the holder to become a Chartered Member of the Faculty, and demonstrates knowledge of, and competence in, assessment of health hazards and the extent of risk in various workplace circumstances, and an ability to advise on suitable control procedure
This qualification follows on from the successful completion of a BOHS accredited postgraduate degree, a Certificate of Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene (CertOH/ICertOH) or an IOHA-accredited professional qualification. You also need to have accumulated five years of relevant professional experience, to be eligible for the qualification.
If you are awarded the Diploma of Professional Competence in Occupational Hygiene, you are entitled to use ‘DipOH’ as post-nominal letters after your names.
Level
The level of a qualification indicates the relative complexity and depth of knowledge and skills required to attain the qualification.
This is a level 7 qualification in the BOHS qualifications framework, equivalent to NVQ Level 7.
Online assessment
Applicants should note that all of the components of this qualification are assessed online, and therefore access to a computer and the internet is essential. Candidates will be asked to create an account on the BOHS hub website to gain access to:

- Submit the Professional Experience Portfolio and Researched Essay (if applicable)
