Annals
The ‘Annals of Occupational Hygiene’ has been BOHS’s research journal for 46 years, and is now one of the world’s longest-standing and leading publications in the field. Published by Oxford University Press (OUP), it’s available on-line as well as in hard copy. BOHS members can register to access the on-line edition of the Annals free of charge. This gives not only the present issue, but also allows browsing or free-text searching of the 450 or so papers that we have published since 1999. If you are a member and are unsure of how to register, detailed instructions can be found in the members' area. Whilst only BOHS members and subscribers can read the full texts of papers on the on-line version, anyone can read the abstracts, and the whole text of papers from the last five years can also now be searched on-line.
OUP makes the Annals available in various packages, and about three times as many organisations get the journal on-line as subscribe to the print edition. In addition, OUP makes its on-line journals available free or at low cost to non-profit institutions in developing or low-income countries, and almost 1,000 institutes have taken advantage of this. Some 15,000 papers are downloaded from the on-line edition every month.
About 80% of Annals papers come from outside Britain, emphasising the international reach of the journal.
