Kevin Bampton, CEO of BOHS, welcomed Dr. Jones:
We are really delighted to have Rachael taking on the role of the editorship of the Annals. It is a vital link between the scientific research community and the discipline of occupational hygiene which has a global role in preventing the deaths of people from exposure to hazards to health in the workplace. Rachael brings with her a pragmatic and innovative insight into how this relationship can be developed at a crucial time in the history of academic publishing. She builds on the impressive success of Noah Seixas, who has transformed the Journal into one of contemporary relevance, as highlighted by its vital role in accelerating the scientific response to COVID-19.
Kelvin Williams, BOHS President said:
Dr. Rachael Jones’s acceptance of the position of Chief Editor of the Annals is most welcome. Given current events and Rachael’s research interests, the appointment is providential.
