Occupational Hygienist / Indoor Air Quality Consultant
DustScanAQ are pleased to offer the position of Occupational Hygienist / Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Consultant. The position is mainly desk/office based in Witney (Oxfordshire, UK), but will require regular site-based work throughout the UK.
We are a small, independent, employee-owned environmental consultancy firm that specialises in dust and air quality monitoring and assessment. Employees of our business are also co-owners and eligible for equal profit shares irrespective of position.
We are currently looking for an Occupational Hygienist / IAQ Consultant to join our growing dust and air quality team at an exciting time as our client and project portfolio continues to expand. The work will initially involve carrying out occupational aerosol (dust, fibre, VOC etc.) and gas exposure monitoring assessments at a wide variety of interesting sites and preparing interpretative reports but will develop to include more detailed IAQ investigations. The role requires a mix of office and site-based work.
Applicants must have a full UK driving license, 1-2 years previous relevant air monitoring experience with a sound knowledge of HSE methodology and COSHH EH40 and ideally be an existing member of the BOHS. Knowledge of other IAQ guidelines (such as BREEAM) would be advantageous. Applicants should have studied to A-level or equivalent level but ideally have a relevant degree e.g. Environmental Science or Occupational Hygiene.
The position would suit candidates with more of a practical, site monitoring technician background who are keen to develop their data interpretation and consultancy skills. Full training will be provided as well as other benefits such as private medical and dental care, professional memberships and profit shares.
Attention to detail is essential in this role, as are excellent customer service/communication skills and the ideal candidate will be confident working both individually (on site) and in a team environment. As we’re a small, specialist environmental consultancy we also value individuals who develop an interest in all aspects of our business.
As an employee-owned business our core values are teamwork, innovation and integrity and we pride ourselves on having a culture of transparency, empowerment, and respect for staff at all levels.

Hours: Typically 09:00 - 17:00 (Mon-Fri)
