Northern Ireland Electricity Networks (NIE Networks) is the owner of the electricity transmission and distribution networks in Northern Ireland, transporting electricity to over 910,000 customers including homes, businesses and farms.

This is an exciting and new opportunity to join the NIE Networks Health & Safety team as an Occupational Hygienist. This new role will offer considerable opportunity for the right person to develop and contribute to a critical area of a growing business. We have more than 1,400 brilliant minds operating from a number of sites across Northern Ireland and together we share an ambitious purpose to keep NIE Networks ‘Safer Together’.

As an Occupational Hygienist, your job will be to identify, measure, assess and advise on the control of health hazards in the workplace. You'll need to understand how chemical, physical, ergonomic and biological agents may affect the short and long term health of the workforce, caused by both acute and chronic exposure to hazards. Part of the role is to establish what practical measures can be put in place to minimise the risks and control workplace health risks in practical and cost-effective ways by assessing and resolving practical problems.
