Your key areas of responsibility:

• Conduct regular workplace and community inspections to identify potential health hazards.
• Implement and oversee monitoring programs to measure employee and community exposure to chemical, physical, and biological agents.
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international occupational health regulations and standards.
• Handle employee relations and address grievances.
• Raise awareness about occupational health risks and promote a culture of safety to employees and community.
• Continuously review and update programs to reflect changes in regulations, technology, and workplace conditions.
• Provide expert guidance on monitoring blood lead levels (BLLs) in potentially exposed populations, including workers and the community.

Ideally, you will have:

• A Bachelor's degree in occupational health/hygiene, environmental health, industrial hygiene, chemistry, or a related science discipline.
• 3-5 years’ experience in the implementation of occupational hygiene risk management.
• Knowledge of occupational hygiene monitoring programs and equipment.
• Knowledge of occupational health and hygiene legal frameworks.
• Knowledge of SHEQ standards (ISO 45001 & ISO 14001) Registration with the Health Professions Council
• Professional registration with an accredited Hygienist institution (e.g. SAIOH, BOHS, AIOH)
• Code B Driver’s license
