We are now looking for a Noise and Vibration Specialist Inspector to join our specialist team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Location: Aberdeen, Ashford (Kent), Basingstoke, Bedford, Birmingham, Bootle, Bristol, Buxton, Cardiff, Carlisle, Carmarthen, Chelmsford, Crewe, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Leeds, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Norwich, Nottingham, Oxted, Plymouth, Sheffield, Wrexham, York (with regular travel and overnight stays).

The Role
As a Noise and Vibration Specialist Inspector, you will provide expert guidance and advice to reduce ill health and risk in the workplace.
Working as part of a specialist regulatory team, you will inspect workplaces and ensure that health risks have been identified, evaluated and eliminated or controlled, covering a diverse range of sectors.
You’ll provide technical expertise to regulatory inspectors through planned and reactive support and assist with other projects and initiatives, reviewing health and safety policies, developing guidance and identifying areas for improvement.
Additionally, you will:
- Investigate and enforce the law to secure risk controls
- Undertake forensic analysis following incidents and reported concerns
- Support legal proceedings and provide expert witness statements, when required
- Develop an evidence base to support HSE colleagues
About You
To be considered as a Noise and Vibration Specialist Inspector, you will need:
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience in the field of noise and vibration
- A proven track record of identifying control issues and solving problems
- A practical understanding of hazard identification and risk assessment techniques
- The ability to produce clear, accurate and concise reports
- Strong relationship-building skills
- A degree-level qualification
- Eligibility for membership of the Institute of Acoustics
- A full, valid driving licence
