Asbestos Manager (Hospital Site)
The Asbestos Manager promotes and influences site asbestos compliance and the associated procedures that are developed to safeguard the health and safety of all stakeholders, including patients, visitors, contractors and members of the public.
The role is critical in supporting the Trust policies that ensure that risks to health and safety are assessed and controlled so far as is reasonably practicable during the control of asbestos containing materials and the decommissioning process of vacated areas; and that residual risks are appropriately managed using experience of undertaking asbestos surveys and the management of asbestos risk registers.
It requires an individual that has extensive experience with Asbestos regulations and regulatory requirements.
The Asbestos Manager Acts as a Single Point of Contact to site management teams to facilitate communication and resolve asbestos & decommissioning issues, creating a consistent approach to driving clear and efficient communication.
The Asbestos Manager will assist the Group Asbestos Lead to ensure a consistent approach to asbestos management is in place across all Trust sites and services, and work at site level to assist Site Director(s) (Deputy Designated Persons) in asbestos management. The Asbestos Manager will primarily be an advisory role providing advice and support but will also have responsibility for ensuring the appropriate management of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) on the respective hospital site.
Interviews expected w/c 11th and/or w/c 18th October 2021.
