Certificate of Competence in Control of the Working Environment (CoC Control)

This is the entry level professional qualification required to join the Faculty of Occupational Hygiene as a Specialist Licentiate. It is for candidates wanting to establish their competence in the specific field of Control of the Working Environment.

This qualification follows on from the successful completion of the appropriate Occupational Hygiene or Proficiency modules. You will need to have accumulated 3 years of relevant professional experience to be eligible for the Certificate of Competence in Control.

If you are awarded the Certificate of Competence in Control of the Working Environment, you are entitled to use CoC Control as post nominal letters after your name.

Level

The level of a qualification indicates the relative complexity and depth of knowledge and skills required to attain the qualification.

This is a level 5 qualification in the BOHS qualifications framework, equivalent to NVQ Level 5.

Online Assessment

Applicants should note that some of the components of this qualification are assessed online, and therefore access to a computer and the internet is essential. Candidates will be asked to create an account on the BOHS hub website to gain access to:

  • Submit the Report, Curriculum Vitae, Portfolio of Evidence
