Help shape the future of the BOHS Annual Conference.
Have you ever wondered how the BOHS Annual Conference programme comes together?
We're looking for BOHS members to join the Annual Conference Committee and play a key role in developing one of the profession's most important events.
What will you do?
As a committee member, you'll help:
- Identify key topics for the call for papers
- Review abstracts and assess technical content
- Build a balanced and engaging conference programme
- Suggest keynote speakers and session chairs
- Support the smooth running of the conference
- Contribute to post-conference reviews and continuous improvement
In your third year, you'll also take on the role of Conference Committee Chair and help welcome delegates to the event.

What's involved?
The role is a three-year commitment and includes:
- Two one-day meetings per year
- Occasional Teams meetings
- Reviewing abstracts and supporting programme development
- Liaising with speakers, session chairs and the BOHS events team
- Supporting conference delivery in June
