Occupational Hygienist

We are seeking an Occupational Hygienist with at least two years of hands-on EHS experience to support occupational hygiene programmes, conduct exposure assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance. This role contributes directly to improving worker health and safety across diverse environments. ISS operates globally, delivering industrial hygiene and safety services at more than 500 workplaces in over 40 countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative occupational hygiene exposure assessments
- Evaluate engineering controls, local exhaust ventilation systems, ergonomics, and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)
- Perform EHS audits and broader EHS assessments
- Support the implementation and management of occupational hygiene programs at client sites
- Prepare clear, concise technical reports with recommendations to reduce or eliminate workplace hazards
- Interpret routine occupational hygiene and safety regulations
- Assist Project Managers with project planning, coordination, and execution
- Contribute to business development with new and existing clients
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Hygiene, EHS, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- BOHS M-series modules (M200, M501) or equivalent OHTA modules are highly desirable.
- Suitable for early-career professionals with 2 years of experience in occupational hygiene working towards professional board qualifications (LFOH, CIH, CSP) with intent to obtain within 2 years
- Strong preference for pharmaceutical industry experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple projects
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within the UK and internationally
