SA Equip is a specialised manufacturer of temporary and portable ventilation, lighting, heating and power distribution equipment for harsh and hazardous environments.
Job Purpose
Our company is looking for an LEV Testing Engineer to work full time with one of our key clients, testing their fleet of portable LEV equipment. Based at a major construction site, you will be responsible for supporting all TExT reporting and more. A proactive approach will also be required to ensure that the equipment is being used correctly and working at its maximum potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out and provide TExT reports on a variety of portable LEV Equipment
- Provide on site support to SA Equip’s client
- Product and application advice
- Support with equipment set up, where necessary
- Ensuring replenishment of consumable products
- Checking work areas to ensure kit being used safely and correctly
- Dealing with any equipment issues
- Organising repair and maintenance of equipment
- Identifying opportunities for growth and working with sales team to introduce new business
- Liaising with the sales team on any requirements for equipment and spares etc
- Being an ambassador for the SA brand
Job Requirements
- BOHS P601 qualification required
- Experience carrying out TExT reporting
- Basic understanding of electrical equipment preferred
- Experience with industrial equipment and/or site working
- Knowledge of CompEx/hazardous areas (not essential – can be trained)
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Organised and reliable
- Full driving licence
- IT capable
