A Message From Our President
We come to the end of the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and the burning question is how to manage safe return to work in the new employment landscape. The Society continues to work hard in pursuing the science and supporting the practice of occupational hygiene as it relates to control of the SARS Cov-2 virus.
The Coronavirus Hub content reflects a range of initiatives and collaborations where expertise has been marshalled to provide BOHS membership, policy makers and the broader occupational health and safety community with up to date technical advice and guidance on matters such as “Return to Work”.
Many uncertainties remain and our knowledge of SARS Cov-2 behaviour is developing by the day, as is the consensus on what constitutes best practice in the workspace. There is a plethora of information circulating the internet, some of questionable provenance. We trust the Coronavirus Hub serves to distil some of the most reliable and helpful information for occupational hygienists.
The Coronavirus Hub also includes information on maintaining CPD and developments in delivery of qualifications. Other membership initiatives are in the pipeline and will be announced in due course. May I take this opportunity to wish you and your families well during this turbulent season.
