Benefits of Membership

Being a Chartered Fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Hygiene entitles you to use the post nominals of CFFOH.  This demonstrates you have reached the highest level of FOH membership and is the ultimate recognition of your knowledge, experience and contribution to the profession.

All the membership benefits you currently enjoy as a Chartered Member of FOH are retained.

You may be asked to participate on an Investigating Committee appointed to investigate a complaint under the Faculty Code of Ethics.

Am I eligible to apply

To apply for Fellowship, applicants need to meet the following criteria:

• Must have been at the Member or Specialist Member grade of the Faculty for at least 5 years
• Be able to demonstrate seniority in the field of occupational hygiene
• Be able to demonstrate a distinct contribution to the advancement of the profession

How to apply

You will need to submit your CV, a supporting letter and contact details for two referees who are already Fellows of the Faculty of Occupational Hygiene.  Please send all information to the BOHS Membership Team at membership@bohs.org.

Guidance for Fellowship Applicants

Applications are reviewed by the Faculty of Occupational Hygiene Committee and will be considered based on all the information supplied by you and your  referees.

Retired Membership

If you are retired (full time) and an existing Chartered Fellow, you might be eligible for Retired Fellow Grade. Retired membership means you no longer have to complete CPD, can use the post-nominal letters FFOH (Ret) and still have access to membership benefits at a reduced cost.
