The National Organisation of Asbestos Consultants is an independent association for corporate members of the asbestos testing and inspection community.
Our goals are to provide a platform for the sharing of knowledge and experience whilst providing representation at an industry and government level.
Membership is encouraged from independent companies, local authorities and individuals that seek to enhance their knowledge and share their experiences. Our goals are to improve technical knowledge in all aspects of asbestos consultancy and raise the profile of our members.
IOM understands the risks affecting human health in the workplace and the wider environment. Through scientific research and workplace protection services, we support companies to understand and mitigate a range of health risks, keeping their workplaces safe, healthy and compliant. Our work started in coal-dust and asbestos and has evolved to included modern-day risks such as; carbon nanotubes, occupational diseases, air pollution and coronavirus.
UKNAR CIC (UK National Asbestos Register) is a new social enterprise established to help dutyholders manage asbestos simply and safely by better informing and educating those most at risk. UKNAR aims to provide a national asbestos database where all existing asbestos registers can be uploaded and linked to UKNAR’s Asbestos SMART QR technology – enabling information to be accessible to people on site 24/7, 365 days per year. UKNAR CIC gained regulatory approval as a community interest company in January 2020.
