COSHH Good Control Practice Summary and Check List
In order to demonstrate adequate control under the COSHH Regulations, employers need to use the principles of good control practice. In many cases, practical guidance has been prepared by the HSE, industry sectors, trade associations and professional organisations etc, on how to implement these principles. Mark Piney and Paul Evans of HSE have prepared this 'Summary Points and Checklist' form as an aid to applying the principles to achieve adequate control. Download a pdf of the form from here.
The form will, eventually, be available on the HSE website, probably as a spreadsheet which will be less repetitive to complete than the current version. HSE would welcome comments from those using the form on how it can be modified and improved. Please e-mail any comments to Paul Evans at paul.evans@hse.gsi.gov.uk.
