ABICS

ABICS - the Asbestos Building Inspectors Certification Scheme - was set up by our Faculty. 

It is run independently of the training and other operations of BOHS, and is managed by a committee of representatives of professional bodies, the building management and asbestos removal industries, workers' organisations, occupational hygiene consultancies, training organisations and independent experts.

It has its own website which contains details of relevant asbestos legislation and general information, how to find a surveyor, as well as how to apply to ABICS.
