Inhaled Particles X will be held in Sheffield, UK, at The Showroom and Workstation. This is a well-equipped conferencing facility close to the centre of Sheffield and the main railway station and hence with excellent transport links by air, rail and road, as well as a wide choice of hotels nearby. For our platform sessions, IPX has booked two of the Showroom's four auditoriums, seating 180 and 280 people. Our poster sessions will be held in the Workstation, a large two-level space with plenty of room for poster-viewing and catering.

Getting There
The nearest airports to Sheffield are Manchester (www.manchesterairport.co.uk) and East Midlands (www.eastmidlandsairport.com), which both have direct flights from a wide range of destinations.
There are direct trains from Manchester Airport station to Sheffield station; journey time is around 1.5 hours. Timetables, fares and on-line booking for train journeys in the UK are available at www.nationalrail.co.uk .
The journey time from East Midlands airport is also around 1.5 hours and involves a bus connection to Derby rail station, followed by a short direct train to Sheffield rail station. Full details of the journey with all connections can be found using the website www.transportdirect.info, stating East Midlands Airport as the point of origin of your journey and Sheffield train station as your destination.
Sheffield is well connected by road and rail to many other UK cities, and the websites given above are useful resources for planning your travel whatever route you prefer.
When you arrive at Sheffield rail station you will be able to see 'The Showroom' across the road from the station entrance.
