    23 -25 September 2008
    Inhaled Particles X is
organised by BOHS in conjunction with
    The Aerosol Society

    Platform presentations

If your paper is scheduled for platform presentation you will need to prepare your presentation materials to fit within the time available. All IPX platform sessions (except Session 1 and Keynotes) allow 15 minutes each to presenters, followed by a general discussion time of 15 minutes covering all presenters. Keynote sessions are 30 minutes inlcuding questions.  Conference Session 1 allows 20 minutes each for presentations followed by 10 minutes for general discussion.

    Poster presentations

Poster presentations also involve a panel discussion session on the platform, during which each presenter will be asked to give a very brief verbal overview of their paper WITHOUT USING SLIDES. If your paper is scheduled for poster presentation you will need to prepare your poster to fit onto the poster board, which measure 94cm wide x 210cm high, though we recommend your poster occupies no more than 90cm x 100cm with the longer dimension vertical.  This is equivalent to the area of 15 sheets of A4 paper.

    Conference format

The scientific programme of Inhaled Particles Conferences is organised around many plenary sessions and a limited number of parallel sessions, encouraging interdisciplinary interactions. Poster sessions are given space for short presentation and discussion within the plenary sessions of the conference, and all accepted papers are given equal treatment in the published proceedings, whether poster or platform presented. This means that even though the conference is short, there is space in the programme for many papers.

If you have missed the opportunity to submit a paper to IPX

We will make some space available for late-breaking posters from those registered to attend the conference before the end of July 2008. Contact the Scientific Committee using the links above if you are interested in submitting a late poster.
