A Healthy Working Environment For Everyone
Volunteering with BOHS
Volunteering with BOHS is a great way to develop new skills, raise your professional profile, and widen your network of contacts – whilst at the same time adding real value by giving something back to the profession. Another benefit of volunteering is that these activities can qualify for CPD points.
Any member can volunteer – all you need is the relevant skills!
Ways you can volunteer include:
- Mentoring: personal benefits include the opportunity to develop or enhance leadership, management, and communication skills
- Being on a committee: for example, the BOHS Conference committee. Personal benefits include the opportunity to develop or improve team working and communication skills
- Being a Regional Group Organiser, or supporting a Regional Organiser: personal benefits include the opportunity to develop or enhance leadership, management, event production, and communication skills
- BOHS Representation: for example, on external committees, such as Parliamentary committees; meetings; speaking on behalf of BOHS at events and meetings
