Information on application of COSHH to dusts not assigned Workplace Exposure Limits or hazard classifications. The paper has been created from an outcome of work undertaken by the ‘Dust Working Group’, which was set up by Council following a letter from the Institute of Occupational Medicine (IOM) asking BOHS to consider whether the trigger-values in COSHH for “dust of any kind” are adequate. It incorporates the outcomes from the discussions which took place during the two workshop sessions held at the BOHS Annual Conference in Cardiff in 2012 on ‘Health Effects from Exposure to Low Toxicity Dusts’. |
