IEHF East Midlands and East Anglia Site Visit to Bombardier
Wednesday, September 15, 2010
Bombardier Transportation, Passenger Division, have kindly offered to host the Institute of Ergonomics & Human Factors (IEHF) next East Midlands & East Anglia Regional Group meeting and are laying on an exclusive tour of the production plant and development facilities.
The tour will be followed by coffee/tea and a short break to network and catch up with colleagues. Then Mark Edwards of the Human Factors team will give a fascinating and enlightening talk on the work they have been doing in the Passenger Division, including prototypes, testing methods and past projects.
For the best tour and to make the most of this rare opportunity, delegates will get to see the plant after staff have left for the day, starting at about 5.30pm. With the coffee and talk afterwards, IEHF expect the event to draw to a close about 7.00pm. They will then be going to the Clock Warehouse pub (
www.clockwarehousepub.co.uk) - so please feel free to join them. Alternatively, meet in the pub if you have not been able to make it to the site visit.
The visit is open to anyone with an interest in human factors and others from outside the IEHF Regional Group. Non-members are welcome. However, in order to be able to confirm this opportunity, IEHF need you to put names down so they can get approval for the tour and book the appropriate number of volunteer guides.
If you would like to attend, please contact Nick Taylor by email
