Apply For a Bursary!

Our Bursaries for Modules [BfM] Scheme is aimed at encouraging those already working in the field of occupational health and safety to take their first steps towards a possible career in occupational hygiene.   

The financial benefits offered by Bursaries cover:

  • The cost of the first core occupational hygiene module or W201 – Basic Principles in Occupational Hygiene (note: the Bursary covers the cost of both the training and the written examination)
  • BOHS membership for the rest of the year i.e. the year when the Bursary is awarded
  • Mentoring by a BOHS member

Modules covered by Bursaries are:

  • W501: Measurement of Hazardous Substances (Including Risk Assessment)
  • W503: Noise – Measurement and its Effects
  • W505: Control of Hazardous Substances
  • W507: Health Effects of Hazardous Substances
  • W201: Basic Principles in Occupational Hygiene

Note: Exams for all the above modules must be taken in the UK, in order to qualify for a Bursary
