Nanotechnology Open Technical Seminar

Wednesday, October 13, 2010

Chaired by Rosemary Gibson of HSL, BOHS’s Nanotechnology Topic Group Leader, this was a one day seminar and explored the latest occupational health issues around nanomaterials, including current understanding of their toxicology, and how we can measure and control exposure to engineered nanomaterials in the workplace.

The afternoon session looked at the regulation of nanomaterials, and then led on to presentations from representatives from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), the Health Protection Agency and the University of Cambridge covering their workplace experiences. The seminar ended with an open panel discussion.
